Features

Bring the accuracy of a panel saw to any site with the festool ts-55 saw and guide rail system. This combination provides straight, splinter-free cuts on both sides of the blade right out of the box. Unlike conventional pendulum-cover circular saws, Festools design allows the saw blade to retract into the housing giving you the option to start and end the cut accurately anywhere on the material. All of this innovation means a quicker, safer and more cost-effective precision tool. The dust extraction port ensures less dust and a clear view of the workpiece. Saw close to edges, cut apertures and false joints, and cut to length. For solid wood, fine veneered panels and sheet goods of all kinds, plastic, and aluminum.

  • Comfortable, precise, and safe, thanks to guided saw blade with plunge-cut principle
  • Quick and easy cutting depth adjustment
  • Bevel unit allows you to swivel the blade by up to 45 degrees on the guide rail for clean cut edges even on bevel cuts
  • Detachable Plug-it cord, if the cord gets damaged, just plug in a new one yourself
  • Rotating dust extractor connector, easy to adjust the dust extraction to suit your work
  • Spring-loaded riving knife, retracts into the housing automatically during plunge cuts
  • MMC electronics with 6 control and monitoring functions, including soft start, constant speed under load, stepless speed adjustment, temperature and current-triggered overload protection

Can the Festool TS Saws really make me more profitable?

Saws are the lifeblood of your work. And most shops are built around three key saws: the table saw, the panel saw, and the compound miter/radial arm saw. While these make a powerful shop, once you leave for the job site, you’re forced to make do with inaccurate cuts or waste time on trips back to the shop. But now there’s the Festool TS55 and TS75 plunge saws --- shop quality cutting on the job site.

Festool’s TS saws deliver the convenience of a handheld saw, the durability needed for the toughest job, and the quality cuts needed for finish carpentry. So with a Festool, you can do almost anything on-site that you’d do in the shop. And, you’ll get those cuts with outstanding finish quality. Festool’s innovative design makes for dead straight and splinter free cuts --- cuts that save time because they are “glue ready”. And this unique system delivers quick results with less hassle. The Festool system will let you get more done in less time, resulting in more profit for your business. Festool's quality and value --- makes every job more profitable:

  • Festool’s system starts with the handheld saw and the track.
  • It uses a plunge design for safety as well as for plunge cutting.
  • The precision track ensures you make dead-straight cuts every time.
  • Bevel angles are easy to add because the TS cut line is the same regardless of pivot angle.
  • Festool dust control system keeps your working area clear of sawdust.
  • And with easy change blades, you can cut a complete range of material from wood and plastic to Corian, melamine, aluminum, and even steel.

Festool helps you work faster, easier, and smarter.

Installing shop-built cabinets requires quick on-site cuts on panels to achieve a quality fit.

With the TS, just mark your cut line, lay down the track, and make the cut. The cut is clean and install-ready without sanding, splinter clean-up, or wasted material. Handheld saws have traditionally offered the convenience you love, but haven’t been able to deliver finish quality....until now. The Festool saw is the exception. Festool has spent over 45 years at their German design shop perfecting the plunge saw design. With a track guided handheld saw from Festool, you get the precision, quality and durability needed for finish quality carpentry. Festool’s precision starts with our innovative track system that simplifies measurement and ensures a dead-straight cut. Use the splinter guards above and below your wood on either side of the saw blade and the TS saws make glue ready cuts. on even the most splinter prone wood Our innovative quick change blade minimizes blade wobble with a random tooth design and runs with a toe-in design. You get clean, precise cuts and never burn your wood. But the TS’ biggest advantage are MMC electronics. MMC is on-board software that senses the toughness of the wood and the speed of your cut then adjusts blade speed for the best cut and to get the most out of your saw motor. The result? Dead straight and splinter free cuts --- cuts that are ready to glue every time.

Festool helps you work faster, easier, and smarter.

Cutting panels for casework with a Festool TS is simple --- even when working alone. Lay the track and cut on your line for accurate, dead-straight cuts every time. By combining tracks, full 8 foot panels are easy to cut. And angle cuts or scribe cuts are simple --- just mark the start and finish of any angled cut, lay the track and cut.

Festool’s precision helps you deliver that professional finish. And, it helps control costs with more efficient material use and less material damaged through measurement errors.

Key to the Festool system is our innovative precision track system. Each TS is tuned to it’s track and the first cut trims the splinter guard for millimeter precision. Then make a cut by laying the track and making the cut. Two anti-slip grips keep the track from moving. Festool track comes in a range of lengths and tracks can be combined to make cuts as long as you need. For precise repeatability, Festool also offers a range of track accessories. Attach your track to Festool’s innovative worktable for fast, quick cuts. Add a miter gauge to the table for precise angles. Or buy the (???? part #) angle gauge to make scribe cuts easy and quick.

Festool helps you work faster, easier, and smarter.

Cutting a door to fit an existing jamb typically takes 45 minutes and requires saws and sanders. But to fit a door to an existing jamb with a Festool takes as little as 10 minutes and just one cut for each edge. Just set the angle with the track, add any bevel you want, and cut. No finish sanding required.

Additional door applications:

Adding a back cut makes a great finish. And small or large bevels are a must for all types of finish carpentry. With the TS, you can add a bevel to any cut just by changing the blade angle. The TS pivots so it always cuts on the same line. And that means bevels are easy to add and there’s no need for tricky calculations and test cuts. Then, by angling your track on a bevel cut, Festool makes it easy to get compound miter cuts --- of any length. Festool helps you work faster, easier, and smarter.

With the TS 55 or 75’s plunge cut design you easily control the depth of your cut. And that makes it superb for adding inlays or even rabbeting edgets Even better, you can plunge cut on any flat material --- from panels to countertops and floors. Stops in the track are easy to set so that your cut goes from mark to mark. These stops and the automatic riving knife control your saw and your wood to prevent kickback.

Dust removal and blades...

Controlling dust and air quality is part of every Festool design. Add a Festool Dust Extractor to your TS saw and you’ll remove over 90% of the fine saw dust from your work area. And that’s better for your health --- and your customer’s satisfaction. Your Festool Dust Extractor also makes a great base for systainers --- the system of custom containers that protect your tools and make our products easy to store and easy take to the jog. Systainers come in a range of sizes and clip closed or clip together for secure storage. Clip them to your dust extractor to easily carry them into a customer home or job site. From cutting precise angles to truing laminated edges; from miter cuts for sophisticated edges to special blades for Corian and other material, fabricating countertops is easier when you own a Festool. And when it comes to installation, only Festool makes scribes of nearly any length as easy as laying the track and making the cut.

A Festool TS can make almost any cut you’d make on a production-grade shop saw --- saws you’d spend $5,000 to $8,000 to buy and get finish carpentry quality. But when you buy a Festool TS saw, you get all these cuts --- and you get them anywhere you want. So now you can build onsite or build in your shop and finish onsite --- all with Festool quality cuts, The Festool TS cuts an edge on even the hardest of woods that is of finer quality than most jointers --- without burn marks or saw marks. That makes the TS a superb tool for jointing with raw wood. And the TS75 is so powerful that it cuts this 2.75” oak with ease. The TS is delivered with a general use blade. Like all Festool blades, a random tooth pattern, laser cutting, and blade geometry minimize blade wobble ensuring a precise cut. When your job requires a unique blade, Festool is ready. With their easy blade change, you can quickly switch to cut material ranging from wood and plastic to Corian, melamine, aluminum, and even steel. Festool helps you work faster, easier, and smarter.

Festool TS quality cuts offer advantages for almost any part of installing a floor --- like establishing perfect ends for room transitions.

And the TS offers new opportunity. The track and plunge depth control let you cut grooves to add decorative inlays. You can use the TS plunge-cut to precisely cut out a hole for a vent And if you ever need to replace a board in an existing floor, lay your track to cut precisely along the edge of the old board so it can be removed and replaced

Safety issues:

Hidden saw blade Limit stops Dust extraction, see cutline, safer air quality, HEPA filter Slip clutch – minimizes risk or kickback and reduces wear on blade, gear case and motor. Riving knife – spring loaded, retracts during plunge cuts. Keeps the cut kerf open so material doesn’t pinch the blade, reducing kickback and increasing control of tool. Guide rails – helps for control of tool, kickback Festool’s precision and glue-ready edge offers many advantages for custom paneling. When installing butterfly panels, factory edges are simply too rough. But a quick cut with a TS makes for a perfect fit.

Festool History:

Festool arrived in North America around 1997. But it’s not a new company. Since the early 1900's three generations of Festool engineers have put their passion into making the highest quality products for European finish carpenters. And because high-end cabinet shops in Europe simply don’t have the floor space required for the large fixed saws common in the US, Festool designed their TS line of saws to deliver outstanding quality in a portable and compact system that European craftsmen needed. Festool products are integrated, sharing the Systainer storage, sharing many accessories, and designed for optimal dust extraction with a Festool Dust Extractor.

Festool’s TS55 and 75 deliver all the (1) convenience of a handheld saw, the (2) durability for the toughest jobs, and the (3) quality cut needed for finish carpentry. So visit our premiere Festool showroom in Wantagh, NY for a demonstration of the Festool TS system and learn how the Festool system will help you make higher quality work in less time. Festool helps you work faster, easier, smarter.
