It’s “rotation and striking” mode can be used to drill anchor holes in concrete, tile and brick. The “rotation only” mode can be used in conjunction with the chuck adapter to drill holes in steel and wood or tighten machine/wood screws. The third mode is the “striking only” mode. This mode has the ability to strip mortar and tiles, demolish and chisel concrete and groove or cut bricks.
