Makita 5007MGX1 7-1/4" Magnesium Circular Saw

Makita’s new magnesium top handle circular saw is a great addition to any framer’s tool collection.

With a proven 15 AMP motor this saw is powerful enough to cut through the densest lumber and its magnesium body keeps weight to a reduced 10 pounds. It has the largest cutting capacity within its class (2-1/2” at 90°) with a maximum bevel capacity of 56°, and positive stops at 45° and 22.5° for quick back-and-forth changes.

Additional design details that put this saw above the competition include greater clearance between the main handle and the blade case to provide a better grip for even the largest hands, and an unobstructed view of the blade at the line of cut. The saw features twin LED lights for better illumination, as well as ducting designed to blow dust away from the line of cut.

The base and top handle are easily replaceable in the event they are damaged and the reinforced power cord resists separation. Overall, model 5007MG was designed to account for the many features professional tradesmen demand.
