The DC18SE has some of the same features as the DC18RA
such as comprehensive charge status lights, cooling fan, and diagnostic lights.
Since the electrical source for this charger is a 12V outlet, the charge time
for Makita’s 18V (3.0Ah) Lithium-Ion battery is 60 minutes. While this may seem
high, please remember that automotive Ni-Cd/MH chargers take 90 minutes or more
to charge an 18V (3.0Ah) Ni-MH battery.
The DC18SE reminds the user with some important graphics
above the status lights:
1.
Place the charger and battery where it will not affect your driving.
2.
Do not store the battery
in a hot environment (greater than 122°F).
3.
Do not operate
this charger while you are driving.
